If I file for bankruptcy, will it be noted on my spouse's credit file?
No. In Canada, spouses are not responsible for each other’s debt unless they have co-signed the loan agreement. Therefore, if your spouse has not co-signed any loans or credit cards, his or her credit file only holds notes on their own payment history.
