How Long do I have to Pay Off my Consumer Proposal?

A consumer proposal has a maximum of five years over which to pay down the renegotiated debt load. You can shorten the agreed upon term by applying to make larger payments if your income improves or your expenses go down. You can also pay the entire amount off at once if you are fortunate enough to come into a lump sum of money.
