I am behind on my debt payments; can a collection agency take my furniture, electronics, clothes, etc.?
Even if they wanted to do so—and remember that the resale value of most of these items after a few years of ownership is probably about 10% of what you paid for them—your creditors will have to apply for a court order that specifically allows them to take any property that is not exempt (In Canada, the value of personal exemptions from seizure during bankruptcy varies by province).
The amount it will cost a collection agency to get a court order compared to the money they will receive from selling your possessions usually means that it isn’t worth it to them.
